Growing up in Idaho taught Dom the value of service and the importance of community—values that have profoundly shaped who he is today.
Dom worked through high school, first bussing tables and washing dishes at a family-owned restaurant, and later digging trenches and running wire for a local electrical contractor. These experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for both the challenges faced by small business owners and the hard working employees who find a way to win every day.
These lessons guided Dom to the United States Naval Academy, where he studied Applied Math, played football, and set his sights on serving in the United States Marine Corps.
As a platoon commander, Dom led Marines across the Middle East, from Iraq to the Syria-Jordan border. As a company commander, Dom built and implemented curriculum and training programs to modernize the Marine Corps’ entry-level training pipeline. Throughout his military career, Dom learned to leverage the experience and talents of his team to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
While at the University of Michigan, Dom worked alongside founders and entrepreneur-led businesses to develop go-to-market strategies, refine business development campaigns, and improve operational efficiency. These experiences, and the support of the search fund community, were driving forces in Dom’s desire to pursue business ownership.
He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife Bridget. He is an avid fan of the San Diego Padres and the NYT Crossword, and true to his Idaho roots, is happiest on the slopes, in a river, or listening to live music.
